Delightful decorations that will wow the guests
Now that you have set the stage for enchantment, it's time to focus on the delightful decorations that will wow the guests at your little girl's tea party birthday bash. One idea is to hang colorful paper lanterns from the ceiling to create a whimsical atmosphere. You can also scatter flower petals or paper fans to add color and pattern.
Next, I layered in faux florals from the dollar tree, but fresh is always ideal! You can use any jar of vases you have in varying sizes. Once you have the flowers in place layer in candles to give an elegant feel.
With these delightful decorations, your little girl's tea party birthday bash will be an unforgettable event that will leave everyone feeling like they are at a proper afternoon High Tea party!
Finger sandwiches and sweet treats fit for a princess
Now that you've created a whimsical and enchanting atmosphere for your tea party it is time to focus on the delectable delights that will truly make the event magical. Finger sandwiches are a classic tea party staple and can be made in a variety of flavors and fillings.
I chose to do smoked salmon crostini; they were super easy to make, and I got the recipe here on Pinterest (Jam Jar Kitchen) .
I also had cucumber sandwiches, which I just used thinly sliced cucumber and Cucumber Dill Tetziki dip from Aldis. with the leftover cream cheese from the Salmon crostini's, I put some dallops on the leftover salmon cream cheese spread. Lastly heart cut out peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
Don't forget to serve a selection of teas, both hot and cold, to accompany the delectable treats. My favorite is Harney and Sons Earl Grey and Hot Cinnamon Spice, and Paris. For the children, I selected a decaf tea for kids called Tutti Fruity, which is infused with Hibiscus & Passion Fruit.
I decided to experiment with a cake recipe for dessert. t didn't look the way I had hoped, nor did it taste fantastic either, haha! Oh well, sometimes things don't go according to plan, and that's okay. On a positive note, I absolutely loved the cake topper that I bought from Amazon. Games and activities to keep the fun flowing
Now that the menu is set and the treats are ready, it's time to plan some games and activities to keep the fun flowing at your tea party.
One fun idea is a magical tea party treasure hunt. Hide small trinkets and treasures throughout the party area, such as toy jewelry, mini tiaras, and sparkling wands. Give the children clues and let them search high and low to find these precious goodies.
Another idea is to paint teacups. My kiddos love crafts so this was perfect for them, and your guest can take them home as party favors. Along with the teacups we provided little hats and gloves for our guest as they arrived. I used these, but there are lots of great options on Amazon.
