Bridal brunches are the perfect way to celebrate the bride-to-be, and what better theme to choose than a Petals and Prosecco party? When I was asked to co-host my dear friends, bridal brunch I couldn't have been more excited and was all in!
Imagine a morning filled with delicate blooms, bubbly drinks, and a color palette that whispers romance. With hues of pink, blush, and lavender setting the scene, this elegant affair promises to be an enchanting experience for everyone involved. Here’s how we did it!
Centerpieces: Start by setting the scene with an array of floral arrangements. This could be one grand centerpiece or multiple simple arrangements. Think peonies, roses, and tulips in shades of white, pink and blush, complemented by lavender sprigs. I recruited the help of my niece who does floral design to create one larger showstopper arrangement, and we used these adorable pink bud vases from Amazon to scatter around the table, along with some flameless candlesticks.
These brass candlestick holders are perfect to create a classic cohesive feel, and then used these flameless candlesticks, adorned with chiffon ribbon for a little extra touch.
Place settings: To further instill the color scheme I purchased these lovely lavender cheesecloth napkins, that we loosely knotted and adorned with a sprig of green and acrylic place cards with pink chiffon ribbon.
DIY Bridal Bloom Bar: I purchased all of our flowers from Trader Joes the day before and stored in my basement where it was dark and cool. My niece thoughtfully cleaned up all of the floral stems, removing excess leaves, etc. and helped to assort them in a variety of glass vases. I used this adjustable folding bar table as the base and covered it with a white linen. I also used a small round table to add another level. I can't tell you how handy these folding tables are, and if you don't own one like this you need to! It's the perfect size and it's height adjustability makes it so versatile.
I also used a small wooden crate and books to create varying heights. I found these adorable “Happy Everyday” flower sleeves that we provided guest with to place their arrangement in and wrap with delicate chiffon ribbon, viola.. gorgeous!
Lastly, we created a simple Bridal Bloom Bar sign our of white foam core that I purchase from the dollar tree, hand written with a gold paint pen.. that’s it! The end result had a classy, nostalgic feel.
Venue/Refreshments: No bridal brunch is complete without a refreshing selection of prosecco cocktails. Create a DIY prosecco bar where guests can mix their own mimosas or Bellini's, offering a variety of fruit purees and garnishes like raspberries, strawberries, and edible flowers. Serve these sparkling concoctions in elegant flutes that match the color scheme. Accompany the drinks with a spread of delightful brunch bites, such as mini quiches, smoked salmon canapés, and an assortment of pastries. We hosted our bridal brunch at La Belle Vie, which is a quaint little café in St. Charles Missouri - Frenchtown. The food and service was fabulous.
Incorporating the Petals and Prosecco theme into a bridal brunch allows for a joyous and picturesque gathering that will be cherished by all. With its soft, romantic colors and floral elegance, this theme not only honors the bride but also creates a breathtaking experience that captures the beauty of love and friendship.
